Track menopause without periods
After a hysterectomy, surgical menopause or with a hormonal IUD, there's no cycle to read. Solace estimates your stage from your symptoms instead, so you can still track, understand and get support.

Many menopause and cycle apps estimate your stage from your periods. That doesn't work if you've had a hysterectomy, surgical menopause, use a hormonal IUD or pill that masks your cycle, or simply haven't had a period for over a year. Solace asks about your situation when you start and adapts.
Choose your situation
- I still get periods
- Not sure: my periods are irregular
- Hysterectomy, ovaries kept
- Surgical menopause, ovaries removed
- Hormonal contraception or IUD
- No period for 12 months or more
Without a cycle to read, Solace estimates your stage from your symptoms and focuses your charts and doctor report on symptoms, sleep and treatment.
Everything else works the same
Log hot flashes in one tap, track 21 symptoms and your own, follow your HRT and medications, and see patterns in your own data.
Frequently asked questions
Can I track menopause after a hysterectomy?
Yes. If your uterus was removed but your ovaries were kept, you won't have periods, but your hormones still change and you'll go through menopause. Solace estimates your stage from your symptoms instead of your cycle.
What is surgical menopause?
Surgical menopause happens when both ovaries are removed. It causes menopause straight away, and symptoms can be sudden and strong. Solace treats you as postmenopausal and focuses on tracking symptoms and treatment.
I have a hormonal IUD and no periods. Can I still track perimenopause?
Yes. Hormonal IUDs and some contraceptive pills can hide period changes. Solace uses your symptoms, such as hot flashes, night sweats and sleep, to estimate your stage.
How does Solace estimate my stage without periods?
It looks at the vasomotor symptoms you log, mainly hot flashes and night sweats. After surgical menopause, or with no period for 12 months, it treats you as postmenopausal. The estimate is educational, not a diagnosis.
Can I change my situation later?
Yes. You can update your cycle situation in Settings at any time, for example if your periods stop or you have surgery.
